5super charged!Aug 20, 2010
Florida heat and humidity is a killer. I bike ride 16-18 miles at least 4 times a week and am 50+ years old. Gatorade was not making the grade and I was getting dizzy when I stopped at the half way point to hydrate. On a typical summer ride I am going through two 24 oz bottles of liquid. After searching around I found Hammer Endurolytes. I reduced the amount of Gatorade powder and added 3 scoops of Hammer Endurolytes to a 2 quart bottle. My recovery time feels instant! Endurolytes does not fully dissolve so before drinking just remember to shake your bottle. Sort of tasteless to me so I add the Gatorade for flavor.

After using it for a week I ordered again since I never want to run short of this product!

1Garbage!Jul 16, 2010
I have used this product for years and thought very highly of it,but BEWARE! They have obviously changed the formula and turned it into pure garbage. The old formula was chrystalline and dissolved readily. The new formula is like sand and STAYS THAT WAY! It never dissolves! Nothing like a big old gulp of sand when you're racing in 90 degree heat. Yet another company that won't mind the old adage "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Stay away from this junk.

5AMAZING...REALLY!Jun 30, 2010
Based on the reviews here I tracked down a bicycle shop near me that sells the stuff. I paid more because I wanted it now. Will order it from here in the future.

Gotta say that the stuff is really great. I LOVE that there is no sugar and that the minerals are in chelated form.

Cramps are already easing. Can't say enough good things. True, it tastes chalky.. but I added some stevia and "true lemon" crystals and now it tastes like lemonade.

It is SOOOOO much better than that Gatorade junk.

There are no instructions as to water amount. I had a liter bottle and added 3 scoop. Great stuff! Seriously.

Edit: I now only put a scoop(or rather 1/2 scoop - the actual serving suggestion) in my liter drinking water bottle. It really alkalizes the water ( I also use a 1/4 teaspoon of Concentrace to raise the ph.) The combo make a really good, an inexpensive alkaline water. I start with Reverse Osmosis water (the kind you get for 25 cents a gallon outside the supermarket), and add a pinch of thethe endurolye powder (1/16 teaspoon per liter) and a 1/4 t-spoon of the Concentrace and the alkalinity level goes off the chart.

This is my daily drinking water formula.

1Endurolyte PowderJun 24, 2010
Absolutely terrible. The formula may work but I could not get by the taste! I mixed the first drink (as directed) and it tasted like I was drinking liquid chaulk. My first drink was my last. What a waste of money.

1Sodium overload, won't dissolve, tastes awfulMay 06, 2010
I purchased this product for the less expensive price, thinking, "it's an electrolyte powder, how much different could it be from what I had been using?" The answer is: a LOT. First, the balance of minerals and salt, as listed on the canister's label, are not ideal, and if Amazon would just insist that it's sellers DISCLOSE their FULL label on each product sold, there would be a whole lot less one-star reviews from consumers who feel a bit more honesty is needed from both the Seller and the Distributor (Amazon). I refer here to their Product Description on the Product Page, which reads: "Sodium 40mg, Chloride 60mg"... Well, yes, but they are both supplied by the same ingredient ("as sodium chloride"), giving you 100mg of salt per serving. That's a bit shady and is too much when the potassium and magnesium are only 25mg each. It delivers more salt than you should have, or need, unless you are running a 26-mile marathon every time your drink the stuff -- unlikely for most of us.

This product caused water retention problems and digestive problems for me. Something that really surprised me. Half way through the container I stopped using it and after a couple days felt normal again. I think it's the high amount of salt, it's just not balanced properly and doesn't mix properly, either. I question whether proper absorption is possible if it cannot be fully dissoled in more water than the directions call for per serving??

No matter how little mix I put into my water bottle (48oz) it would not dissolve even after vigorous shaking over several minutes, and was like drinking watery grit!

It tasted salty and both tasted and smelled like protein powder (that stuff you put in smoothies for added protein/vitamins). Yuk! It was so bad I had to add a few tablespoons of juice to the water to kill the taste. I'm trying to take extra calories and sugar out of my diet right now, but the juice was just necessary or I couldn't even drink it. Awful.

I consumed a bit less water than normal while using this (about 6oz less) because it was so difficult to take, and from what I can tell, I got zero absorption on the minerals, except for the salt. I'm concluding this because I needed to begin taking magnesium supplements again after I'd been on this stuff only a week. (I had been advised by my doctor when I first moved to the desert 10 years ago to drink electrolytes daily as it would help me adjust to the dry climate and heat after living in the humid Northeast part of the country, and would also assist me with the extra magnesium/potassium boost I needed every day -- the product I ended up with worked so well I continued taking it daily, especially when exercising). I had been told to drink something without sugar preferably and with low sodium to prevent water retention...So, basically to stay away from those gatorade-style products. Not a problem for me, since I've never been a fan of corn syrup. I had previously found a great product that only health food stores seem to carry now, and so I was ordering it online (Alacer electromix in packets), but it was expensive. So, I was hoping this Endurolytes product could replace it because it is cheaper. Well, I see why. I was mistaken about getting a better deal. Back to paying for the Alacer, which is balanced, tastes great, dissolves completely and doesn't make me feel ill while taking it. Worth spending the money, but I just learned that the hard way. Oh, not surprisingly, I started getting foot cramps again while taking this stuff. Buyer beware.
