Exactly what I wanted - pure electrolytes, no BSJul 20, 2009
By Sean Azlin I was waking up to severe cramping about once a week for a month or two before I started taking Endurolytes. I had to take action after having severe cramping two nights in a row - once in my right hamstring and again in my right calf. Both cramps lead to muscle pulls that lingered for about a week. I also had chronic cramping in my right foot when I curled my middle toes... I'm young and healthy, so what's the deal!?
I did some research online and read that electrolyte imbalances could consistenly cause my symptoms. I started scouring the Web for a cheap and straight-forward source of electrolytes. It was actually tough to fine... most sources were sport drinks that were full of sugar and had incomplete electrolyte profiles (sodium and potassium alone are not ideal).
Eventually I found "Endurolytes". It's perfect... it's literally nothing but well-balanced salts, which is all electrolytes are, really. There are no fillers, no sugars, and no additives. A serving is literally thimble-sized and can be added to any drink, protein shake, or whatever.
I take one serving before bed with water or a protein shake and, wouldn't you know it... I haven't had cramping since! The problem disappeared overnight, and hasn't come back in 2 months. It's funny how something as simple as a thimble of salts can make all the difference.

This saves money and has no sugar!!!Jan 30, 2010
By Muditta I need extra electrolytes frequently. Gatorade and Pedialyte cost a lot when used regularly, take up space in my frig, and have a lot of sugar. Electrolyte water doesn't always have sugar, but it still costs and takes up space. I've been using Endurolytes Powder for over a year now, and I've saved money, reduced my sugar intake, and unburdened my refrigerator. One small jar makes 150 cups of electrolyte water--that's the equivalent of 37.5 gallons of Gatorade! Also, according to Gatorade's data, Gatorade must be used within 3-5 days of opening. This isn't an issue with Endurolytes, since you only make as much you'll drink that day.
As for electrolyte content, Gatorade has more than twice as much sodium per cup than Endurolytes, but Enduro also has other electrolytes that Gatorade doesn't have. I take salt tabs anyway for low blood pressure, so it's not a concern for me. If it's a concern for you, then consider that even if you used double the amount of Endurolytes suggested per cup, it would still be the equivalent of 18.75 gallons of Gatorade.
As for taste, it's fine for me. At least, it was fine as soon as I stopped yearning for my sugar-juice, which wasn't that long.

Better than Gatorade.Sep 28, 2009

It's not a wonder supplement that will keep you from becoming tired, but it does seem to do a good job fighting dehydration and cramps. I certainly prefer it over sports drinks and it's cheaper.
150 servings is slightly misleading. 1 scoop = 1 serving, but there's no recommendations for how much water you should actually mix with 1 scoop. I find 2 scoops to 1 liter is pretty effective. Have not tried putting three scoops in a liter yet, but will probably give it a go next time. With 2 scoops in 1 liter of water you get a slightly salty taste that is barely noticeable and not a deterrent at all when you're exercising and thirsty.
I'm happy with the performance of this product.

Works well, but not the best way to use it.Nov 27, 2010
By skip Endurolyte does work much better than the crap gatorade stuff, but I prefer the capsule over powder for several reasons:
- powder tastes chalky w/ some salt. taste doesn't bother me all that much, but water tastes better.
- powder sinks to bottom of container so you have to shake b4 each sip, unless you use a straw. So you really have to drink entire container to get to bottom. you will always leave some in the bottom no matter how much water you drink from container, since powder has some grainy bits.
advantage over capsule is probably you get a bit more by weight. i have both, but i end up using only capsule bc it is so much easier to use. i haven't tried this, but maybe i should just put this powder in my mouth and take it w/ water. :P need to finish it one way or another. Note container is deceiving. Content is only about 1/4 of container from what i remembered, new. i guess how this compares to capsules is if each serving is equal to 1 capsule, then 150 serving 30 more than 120 capsules. but if you always discard the bits that never get out of the container, then they're probably not much different.

USED TO BE GREAT, NOW CRAPOct 08, 2010
By S. Louie This used to be a great product. The old formula was a white crystaline powder that dissolved easily and completely and had NO taste or aftertaste. I never cramped with the old formula. This new formula is sand-colored, gritty like sand, and does not dissolve. There is always a fair amount of undissolved granules at the bottom of my jug. There is now a horrible taste from the powder that gets overwhelming when you get near the bottom with all the undissolved granules. I now get cramps even after using more scoops than the old formula. In simple terms, Hammer Nutrition F'd up royally by changing the formula. I would give this product a zero if the rating allowed. Buy something else.
