Map case worked well in the rainDec 11, 2007 We used the Splash Caddy during a one-day adventure race. The race started in the dark at 4 AM in a fairly heavy drizzle. Reading the map coordinates through the plastic case in the dark and in the rain was a little difficult, but this would be true for any map case that is used in rainy/dark conditions. The map case remained around my neck for 8-hours during mountain bike, kayak, and trek legs of the race. The map inside remained dry throughout. It was relatively easy to get inside the map case to adjust the map for different views during the race. (The map was too big to dispaly everything through the case at one time.) In daylight with little rain, there were no problems reading the map. We will continue to use the Splash Caddy for adventure races.
