Unobtrusive and adequate for racesApr 25, 2008 I have one of these and love it! The volume can hold about 1-4 gels with varying amounts of water, which is enough to provide adequate carbohydrate replacement for basically any race up to a marathon (and lets you get your favorite carbohydrate source). It's small and light enough that it doesn't really intrude on your stride or take too much getting used to and I have never had any problems with the clip being too loose or anything.
It takes a little time to adjust to having it clipped to your shorts while you figure out where to place it so that its movement is minimal. I've now decided that an orientation at just about 10:00 relative to my nose pointing at noon is right for me. Even then it slides around a little and I need to adjust it every couple miles but I still prefer it to needing to carry a bunch of gels, opening them, not having it pre-mixed, and so forth. For a long race with no on-course hydration, I'd probably pick a camelback or bottle of some sort, but for any supported of an adequate length where I want some carbohydrates and electrolytes, I recommend this.
