This product works well in the following areas:
1) zipped pocket - this is a good feature and useful for holding your keys during a race; and
2) race number attachment
However, the non-zipped external products are not manufactured with specifications to make them have enough depth to:
1) store a gel-packet (pre-packaged and sold in a fitness store or supermarket) without running the risk of them falling out of the pockets; and
2) properly hold the plastic gel-flask that is provided with the product. It also falls out of the pocket that is designed to hold this item (when running with the product on).
